Paula’s Epilogue

Paula’s Epilogue

So concludes another adventure with Wildebeest and Zebra. So ends our roaming as accidental tourists, stumbling into kindnesses and shared humanity.  Children all over the world chase pigeons.  We return with equal amount of gratitude and humility. Maybe when we feel most ridiculous, we feel most alive.

We are aware that once 20 summers, are now are 16.

  1. So great! What an accomplishment! Let’s cool it on the summer countdown, please :) Love you!

  2. As always we have enjoyed vicariously your experiences. Your writing and prose are both exemplary and complimentary. A real joy to read, see and feel the entire trip on a daily shared basis.

Here I sit in London recovering from a knee operation and trying to move my painful knee 45 % while you are walking up steep inclines and traversing impossible conditions like young marines in basic training.

I raise my crutches to you both in awe and admiration.

Looking forward to seeing you both in Italy.

    Much love,
    Lyndsey and Ian

Very wise thoughts, Paula, at your pilgrimage’s terminus. Wish more people shared your humanity and empathy ! I’m sure the hike has fortified you for your return to Trump-land.
    Cheers,
    Paul
